The Government of Telangana has issued amendments to the Telangana Regularization of Unapproved and Illegal Layout Rules 2020 to expedite the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS-2020) and address procedural delays. Key amendments include:

1️⃣ Plot Registration Restrictions – Unauthorized layouts and plots cannot be registered or granted building permissions unless they are regularized.

2️⃣ Definition of Layout Owner – A layout owner is defined as someone who has developed and sold at least 10% of plots before 26.08.2020.

3️⃣ Provision for Unregistered Plots – If at least 10% of plots were sold before 26.08.2020, registration is now permitted after paying regularization and open space charges.

4️⃣ 25% Rebate on Charges – Applicants who pay regularization & pro-rata open space charges before 31.03.2025 will receive a 25% rebate.

These amendments aim to simplify the LRS process, remove technical hurdles, and promote legal compliance in #TelanganaRealEstate.
